Design is always an investment. The emotions that a person experiences when confronted with a visual that is pleasant to him are a springboard for making a decision.

As with any investment, there are winning and losing trends. We've decided to make it easier for you to find what's considered modern and attractive in 2024 and 2025. After studying many sources, we have collected the main trends that really work in this article.

What 7 trends will not become outdated and will make your sales more active and your profits greater?

Complex Gradients

A gradient consisting of several shades and having a complex shape is something that began to rapidly gain popularity in the world years ago. And now this is a great way to stand out among competitors and attract attention.

Design trends in 2024: increasing sales in a modern way

The most popular option is a combination of pink, purple and red. But if you choose the right shades, you can create a palette based on your brand colors and highlight your individuality. Minimalism, a lot of “air” on the page and a gradient as a graphic accent are especially advantageous.

Collage

The less often a modern person touches paper, the more aesthetically pleasing he feels it. Therefore, now the collage effect - a multi-layer overlay of cut out graphic elements - is the best alternative to the usual fused visual.

Collage

This effect looks especially good in combination with retro fonts. This immediately gives the design tactility, the feeling that you can smell paper and glue, a rough texture and rustle.

The main thing is not to get carried away too much so that the site or application does not look like a note from a kidnapper. We keep a balance between the background and the collage.

Sharp corners

Once upon a time, rounding the corners of images on websites was a breakthrough and felt like something from a movie about the future. But fashion took a new turn and we returned to sharp corners.

Sharp corners

This makes the design more premium, and the convergence of straight lines creates a pleasant visual tension, which makes you want to stop reading the site halfway through. To prevent your design from looking like the Windows 98 interface, use rectangular images as an accent and make the rest of the visual round.

Large buttons and interactive elements

The trend originally emerged as kitsch, a mockery of the fact that regular-sized buttons are easy to miss. The jokes ended when this approach began to produce a dramatic increase in conversion rates.

Large buttons and interactive elements

It turned out that large buttons not only do not seem intrusive, but also invite the user to click on them. In addition, they harmoniously complement the design and are perceived as its element.

In practice, it turned out that the larger the button, the less visually it needs to be highlighted. Those that occupy the entire width of the screen are best made with just text, which, when clicked, activates the element.

Retro 90s

Now the core of the solvent audience are people whose childhood occurred at the end of the last century. That is why large companies such as Pepsi Co, Warner Bros and others began to rethink their designs of those times. It turned out that nostalgia for a carefree childhood is a powerful incentive for making a choice.

Retro 90s

This approach includes:

  • complex palettes, for example, aqua + purple + yellow;

  • naive graphics - drawings that looked like they were made in a sketchbook in class;

  • rounded fonts in the style of the Turbo chewing gum label.

Do you want to be modern today? Then take inspiration from the designs of the 90s and early 00s. And don't forget to have MTV on in the background!

3D elements

Volumetric elements on a flat design are a strong accent, which is why they have become fashionable. There are two directions of 3D elements in design - retro, the same style of the late 90s, when computer modeling began to be popularized. And a very high-quality, but not photorealistic appearance of the images.

3D elements

3D looks especially beneficial in fonts - it is enough to make some part of the text three-dimensional in order to concentrate attention on it. So to speak, it gives volume to the thesis.

Text as part of the design

Text as part of the design

Very large headings, bullet points, different text colors, formatting, and even the use of several different fonts are what this trend implies. When the text is interesting both in meaning and form, it becomes a graphic element that emphasizes your uniqueness.

Trends 2025 in graphic design

Today, the trend towards creating a deep connection with the audience continues, so graphic design becomes even more personalized and user-friendly.

Logo Design Trends 2025

Logos are an important part of a brand. New brands create an identity from scratch, and existing companies periodically update their logo so as not to fall out of trends.

The main graph trends for 2025 are conciseness, dynamics and attention to detail.

Animation and cartoonishness. Logos that come to life with playful illustrations are easier to remember. Bright animations like Netflix's instantly grab your attention and immerse you in the right atmosphere. Animation is often used as an “introduction” to a logo, telling entire stories.

One letter. The trend is to reduce the brand name to the minimum in order to achieve a laconic and easily recognizable image.

Geometry and asymmetry. They add dynamics and attract attention. Designers use slants and asymmetrical lines to create new meaning.

Detail and complexity. On the one hand, minimalism has taken over all areas of design, on the other hand, drawing out details and depicting the whole image is gaining momentum. People love to look at intricate logos and their elements.

Vintage and retro. As in 2024, the aesthetics of past eras are gaining momentum. Retro elements evoke nostalgia and pleasant emotions.

Contrasting natural colors. Bright but natural shades emphasize freshness and relevance. Brands are trying to highlight their environmental friendliness and connection with nature.

Font logos. An unusual font brings the effect of novelty and freshness.

Pixels. Continuation of the trend of the past, in which the first video games were of “pixel” quality. Now pixel graphics are transformed into cool modern logos.

Business cards with a message. On such business cards you place not only your contacts, but also motivating phrases or offers of help.

Metallic elements and gradients. Contrasting colors plus typography with a metallic finish give the business cards a modern look.

Retrostyle. Stylish business cards, like trendy logos, refer to the past.
