What principles should be followed when developing a design?

Many ideas and concepts can be implemented in design, but all creativity is created within the framework of certain principles that can be traced in any project.

Integrity

A complete, unified image is created by maintaining the center and boundaries throughout the entire project, rhythmically repeating elements that lead the user further and further to the main essence and outcome. The design consistency gives a great overall impression.

Placing objects

All objects on the page or screen form an overall composition and are placed relative to a central point or line: they can be arranged symmetrically - balance the overall picture, or divert attention to one of the sides, slightly disturbing the balance.

Proportionality

Shows how objects of different sizes relate to each other, and thereby determines their importance or secondary importance. Also, proportions must be respected relative to the overall appearance, so that individual objects do not look bulky or not noticeable at all.

Contrast

Contrast is needed to make an individual object more expressive. More often this principle is observed with the help of colors: a light plain background and a bright element, for example. But you can also highlight an object using scale or shape. All universal principles, in fact, are not driven into strict frameworks. On the contrary, they are focused on the user’s perception of information and help make a design effective.
