Website for the travel agency "My people". How we redesigned the 10,000-page machine.

“Own people” is a premium travel agency for the development of individual routes for customer requests. The company specializes in fulfilling non-standard wishes: fly around Africa by helicopter, visit the Venice Carnival in a lush dress of the XIX century, see 7 new wonders of the world. With the selection of a hotel for a lazy hotel holiday, they are usually not addressed. But “their people” can organize this.

The customer came to us with an outdated site, which visually did not correspond to the level of the product. At the same time, applications from transitions from search engines were stable: SEO specialists worked hard to fame. Not surprisingly, the site is over 10,000 pages long. Careless intervention could harm organic work, so you should act carefully.

The redesign had to be done so that the structure of the site did not change globally. The same was true of content: articles were written for SEO requirements. For such a voluminous task, one parser can not do, which made our programmers sigh hard. To achieve this, we compiled an entire algorithm and developed artificial intelligence bots.

In the end, we prepared the structure, wrote the texts and designed the design. The visual style was created based on foreign brands, since in Russia the direction of individual tours is less developed. We picked up exciting videos from the most beautiful places from around the world – so that the user wants to go on vacation and go somewhere in Nepal. 

We plunged into the project for almost a year - it was the longest in the history of the studio. The fact that in the process of work from the client received so many requests for new chips that we had to abandon the programming of the site. The required functionality was completely incompatible with the previous 10,000-page structure. It was necessary to come up with such “crutches” that nothing would remain of the Bitrix system. The number of applications could have plummeted. They didn't take that risk.

We discussed the situation with the customer, quickly understood each other. Payment for the program part was not required.

We closed the pages and passed all the work to the client. Having abandoned programming, we still went beyond the contract: we made a technical specification for future specialists. The project can continue without us. We hope that “Your People” will quickly find a team that will help make the back-end competently and clearly.
