A new website for the Varezhki cottage village: from a blank page to an interactive 3D master plan

  • Website design
  • Interactive master plan
  • CRM integration
  • SEO

Goal

Launch sales of a new phase of premium houses.

Objectives

Build the website from scratch: from analytics and information architecture to front-end development, content and integration with the client’s internal systems. Create a modern website that sells, reflects the premium status of the new houses and works as a full-fledged tool for the sales team.

Implementation

The name Varezhki — Russian for “mittens” — promises buyers warmth and comfort, but the village’s old website looked a little cartoonish and did not match the premium status of the houses. There was no point in saving it, so we decided to build a new website from scratch.

Before designing the website, we carried out a complete rebranding of the cottage village: a new logo, corporate identity and brand book (we tell the story of the village’s new image in a separate case study). Building on the new identity, we started designing the website.

First, we analysed the positioning and collected the semantic core. This helped us build a logical structure, plan the navigation and lay the foundation for organic traffic. Then we designed the interfaces, wrote the landing page copy and developed the design concept based on the home page. We paid special attention to the visual language: a strict Scandinavian style, a restrained palette and typography, convenient filters and house cards.

The main technical challenge was the interactive master plan and its integration with ProfitBase, the client’s sales system. The master plan was modelled by hand in 3D, then animated and brought into Bitrix, which made the ProfitBase integration tricky. We had to link almost every plot to the database by hand so that plot statuses (“sold”, “reserved”, “available” and so on) would update automatically.

We also built separate pages for houses with different finishing options and placed an animated video on the home page that shows off the village’s architecture.

We worked closely with the client at every stage, which let us make changes quickly and polish every element.

Result

We created a modern website that sells. The master plan became its calling card: attractive and showing the current status of every house and plot in real time. A well-thought-out SEO structure brings steady organic traffic.

Sales of the new phase took off, and we saw once again that even a complex technical task can become an advantage if you put your heart into it and are not afraid of painstaking work.
