Measuring the social impact of AI: experts from the Crystal of Growth Foundation and the Veonix design studio took part in the EEF session

On September 3, the session “Measuring the social impact of AI: progress, risks, development paths” was held at the Eastern Economic Forum. The session was moderated by Alexander Galushka, Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and President of the Crystal of Growth Foundation.

The session participants were First Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Civic Chamber Commission for the Development of Civil Society and Public Control Alexander Asafov, Official Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, General Director of the Crystal of Growth Foundation Alexander Krutikov and other experts. Previously, the Veonix studio created a “Growth Crystal” for the Foundation official website, which marked the beginning of further cooperation.

At the meeting, participants discussed a number of key issues related to the development of artificial intelligence. The central theme was the search for a regulatory model that would allow building a holistic risk management system and make technology not a replacement, but a complement to human labor.

A separate block of discussion was devoted to protecting users and the state from possible manipulation and dependence on foreign software. The participants also discussed scaling domestic practices at the international level and building cooperation between Russia and its BRICS+ and G20 partners.
