Calendar for CKB: neural networks, neuralgia and a little nostalgia

Create a calendar that will become not just a dated decoration of the walls in the offices, but a visual manifesto of the main hospital of the country.

The central clinical hospital with a polyclinic is a unique world where ancient walls remember famous patients, and doctors save people even in the most difficult cases. When we received the task to make a calendar, we immediately abandoned the “photo + work schedule” template. Instead, we created a twelve-part medical epic that can be hung on a wall.

The main idea was to turn the calendar into a narrative - not a set of disparate pages, but a coherent narrative. We wanted each chapter of this story to reveal not only the specifics of the department, but also its philosophy, its spirit, its role in the great mission of salvation.

What did we do?

They came up with a puzzle cover. The title met the architectural silhouette of the historical building and abstract contours of the brain. Thus was born the visual slogan: "The energy of thought is born here." It's not just a picture, it's the DNA of a place where medicine and history go hand in hand.

Resuscitated doctors with AI. Each portrait went through dozens of iterations in neural networks. We didn't change faces -- we added light, depth, subtle graphics. Doctors began to look like heroes of science fiction, but they remained what they were: people in white coats, not digital avatars.

Written texts that heal the soul. For each department, we found words that speak not of disease, but of opportunity. The Department of Mental Health is an orchestra where science meets empathy. About the neuroimaging laboratory - as about the "map of the brain without white spots." These are not descriptions; these are little poems about medicine.

Linked time, place and people. Each turn is a month, a department and a doctor. January begins with psychiatry, February continues neurology, July plunges into the world of neuroimaging. The calendar grid becomes not just a table of dates, but an intellectual background for the medical saga.

The calendar ceased to be just a printing product, becoming a multifaceted artifact that resonated at different levels.

• Doctors are a matter of pride. Their portraits are now seen from the walls not as collaborators but as heroes of the medical saga.

We didn't just make a calendar. We created an emotional bridge between the past and the future, between technology and humanity, and it all fit into 12 pages.
